Galen's Garden specialises in natural care
products for
rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and related species.
Designed by Belinda Francis they are made from ingredients used in human herbal medicine from top herbal medicine providers in the UK and USA and made mainly from herbs that form a natural part of the diet of rabbits, guinea pigs, or cavies, and chinchillas in the wild.
It is Belinda's theory that, when we take these animals out of their natural
environment, we remove their access to the herbs and wild plants they would
naturally eat if they felt unwell. Peter Gurney observed that guinea pigs would
normally ignore the astringent wild plant known as Shepherd's Purse except when
they had diarrhoea when they would eat it with relish.
The Galen's products provide an easy way to supplement the diet of your rabbit, guinea pig (cavy) or chinchilla with selected combinations of herbs and wild plants. The Hedgerow Herb blend is designed to be fed daily to supply an important source of minor minerals and trace elements not present in commercial diets. Other products include Herbal Tincture Blends, Herbal Syrups and Powdered Herb Blends.
